META Innovation develops and promotes Advanced Learning Systems in the areas of typing and keyboard skills, effective leadership, relationships and Natural Intelligence.

Developed to counter two main problems.

  1. Many people find typing tutors to be too stressful, boring or time-consuming, so they give up within an hour or two.
  2. The risk of developing RSI from the awkward fingering used in traditional typing methods.

Paul used his skills and experience in corporate training, psychology and accelerated learning methods to research the whole subject of acquiring keyboard skills.

Out of this research, the eText Method was developed and applied to typeSmart, the only truly ergonomic typing tutor that uses advanced learning principles.

Paul Hinkley

Managing Director

As a software designer and developer, Paul works closely with the development team. His experience includes the design of complex information systems using Rapid Application Development (RAD) platform, and product development in C/C++.

In designing world-class innovative software, he uses his experience in three decades of hands-on and consulting experience in the project management and leadership of building, engineering, IT and defense projects in Australia, Canada, Japan and the UK.

Since 1981, Paul has been an independent management consultant, trading as META Consultants Pty Ltd. Clients include public companies, government organizations and small technology companies.

His qualifications include graduating in civil engineering with a Bachelor of Engineering in 1967, as well as being a Registered Psychologist, Certified Management Consultant and Founding Member of the Australian Institute of Project Management.
